The Tax Payers' Alliance campaigns for lower taxes in the UK. It commenced operations in January 2004. It is affiliated with the World Taxpayers Association. Their charitable arm is the Politics and Economics Research Trust.

Its initial funding came from the three directors and "generous people we know" [1].

It held a joint seminar with the Institute of Economic Affairs in February 2004, chaired by John Blundell. The guest speaker was Daniel J. Mitchell of the Heritage Foundation, and the panellists were Andrew Allum, Allister Heath, Graeme Leach and Mark Warner.

It is located in the same serviced office building as the Globalization Institute.

The TaxPayers’ Alliance (TPA) was launched by Matthew Elliott and Andrew Allum in early 2004. [1]
