New Local Government Network
The New Local Government Network is a British think tank. It says it is an "independent thinktank seeking to transform public services, revitalise local political leadership and empower local communities". It is seen to be Labour Party dominated.
NLGN was favourably endorsed by UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. "Modernising local government is vital to the future of our communities. NLGN contributes innovative and thought-provoking ideas to the debate on how we achieve that" he said. [1]
It is funded by public sector members of its Innovation Forum and private sector corporate partners. Its funders include many companies who are involved in getting contracts from the Public Sector - including controversial Public Private Partnerships.
