John Foster

John Foster is a trustee of the New Local Government Network. He has been Chief Executive of Wakefield Council since January 2003.

He is an adviser to the Local Government Association on Urban Policy and is a member of the Government's Urban Sounding Board and is a regular contributor and speaker on the Government's new Agenda for Modernising Local Government. He was previously involved in the government's Social Exclusion Unit Priority Action Team. [1]
