Clark & Weinstock describes itself as a "management consulting firm," but its practice areas echo those of most PR companies. On its website it states that it "specializes in reputation and crisis management, public policy counsel, strategic corporate communications during mergers and other financial transactions, and the development of business ethics and corporate responsibility programs.[1]

In November 2008, The Washington Group (TWG) announced plans to "merge with Omnicom-owned sister firm Clark & Weinstock," and to operate "under the Clark & Weinstock brand." TWG "will continue to work closely with Ketchum," after the merger, according to The Holmes Report. [1]

Clark and Weinstock is part of Diversified Agency Services the holding company for the PR and lobbying firms owned by communications conglomerate the Omnicom Group.

In 2003, Clark & Weinstock acquired Weber Merritt Strategies, which was added to its D.C. office. Weber Merritt brought a "team of professionals who collectively have over 30 years of successful grassroots campaign experience."[2]
