Richard Miniter
Richard Miniter is an author. In 1988, while an undergraduate studying philosophy at Vassar,[1] Miniter attended a short course at the conservative Young America's Foundation's National Journalism Center[2] (whose graduates include Ann Coulter and John Fund[3]). While at Vassar, he edited the Vassar Spectator, "along with Marc Thiessen (later a presidential speech writer for George W. Bush) and Jonathan Karl (later a Pentagon and congressional correspondent for ABC News)," according to his online bio.[1]
He has subsequently been an editorial page writer for the Wall Street Journal (Europe), a producer for PBS' Technopolitics, a producer for NPR, and an editorial assistant for the American Spectator, and he has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Atlantic Monthly, Reader's Digest, The Economist, BridgeNews, Christian Science Monitor, City Journal, American Enterprise, New Republic, Reason, and the National Review.[4]

Controversy
Miniter was the Opinion Editor at the Washington Times from March to October 2009.[5][6] Miniter claims he was asked to work from home in July of that year and was never given a reason for his termination. He filed a discrimination complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission,"saying he was 'coerced' into attending a Unification Church religious ceremony that culminated in a mass wedding conducted by the church's leader, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon." The complaint "also charges the Times with discriminating against him on the basis of age and disability," according to the Washington Post.[6] Miniter has indicated that this case was settled.
