Biographical Information

"Zachary Lockman is professor of modern Middle East history and chair of the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University. He is a contributing editor of Middle East Report. His publications include Contending Visions of the Middle East: The History and Politics of Orientalism (2004), Comrades and Enemies: Arab and Jewish Workers in Palestine, 1906-1948 (1996) and Workers and Working Classes in the Middle East (1993)."
