Washington County Compost Facility is a composting facility located in Minnesota offering several disposal options for yard waste.[1]

EPA cites the facility
According to the EPA, the facility that turns sewer sludge into fertilizer for public use failed to meet temperature guidelines that are necessery to reduce pathogens and fecal coliform in the compost. Washington County Sewer District II composting plant has therefore been cited with a fine of $75,000. Joe Brilling is the executive director of Sewer District II indicated he was not in charge when the problems started in 2007 and therefore refused to discuss the EPA violation.[2]
