The Poultry and Egg Situation (PES reports) refers to a series of historic publications by the United States Department of Agriculture Economic Research Service (USDA ERS). They were published monthly, beginning in 1937. Publishing frequency declined in the mid-1940s, but the reports were published several times a year until 1982.

The inaugural issue, in January 1937 states that the publication will be a "new series of monthly commodity situation reports to be released by the Bureau of Agricultural Economics. The monthly report will provide current information on changes in the affect the demand for and the supply and prices of poultry and eggs."
