Talk:Institute for Research on the Economics of Taxation
The Institute for Research on the Economics of Taxation (IRET) was a conservative think-tank dedicated to the "constructive, free-market economic policies are essential for the nation's economic progress" according to its website.[1]
It was founded in 1977 by Norman B. Ture, a congressional tax advisor and Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Department of Treasury under President Ronald Reagan. The organization was later led by Stephen J. Entin, another veteran of the Reagan administration.[2]
According to its 2012 tax filings, the organization dissolved in September of that year.[3]
