Steve Trent
Steve Trent "is a Founding Director of both WildAid and the Environmental Justice Foundation (UK). Steve has over 15 years experience in environmental advocacy, investigations, training and project management. He has conducted investigations and trained environmental and human rights advocates in over 20 countries across the globe, including China, India, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam; and he has managed media campaigns in more than 15 countries. Steve has been involved in campaigns on marine issues, the illegal trade in ozone-depleting substances, illegal wildlife trade and illegal logging, orangutan conservation and environmental governance issues in Indonesia. His advocacy experience includes US Congress, European Parliament and Commission, national governments and at a range of international conventions, including the Montreal Protocol, International Whaling Commission and CITES. As head of the EJF/WildAid Shrimp Campaign, Steve has overseen the production of campaign reports and video, and coordinated the media strategy, and corporate and political advocacy in Europe. Steve currently directs WildAid's Active Conservation Awareness Program (ACAP), the world's most cost-effective wildlife conservation communications campaign." [1]
