Biographical Information

"Stephanie Hilborne OBE is Chief Executive of The Wildlife Trusts. Comprising 47 independent but closely associated charities, The Wildlife Trusts reach every corner of the United Kingdom, as well as two islands which lie outside it. Driven by her concern for the future of the natural world, Stephanie’s conviction is that The Wildlife Trusts have a key role to play in creating a UK richer in wildlife...Stephanie committed herself to conservation as a teenager. She secured a BSc in Biology and MSc in Conservation and went on to facilitate the national coalition Wildlife & Countryside Link before joining The Wildlife Trust movement in 1998 and becoming Chief Executive in 2004."
