Biographical Information

"Sophie brings to the role of UK Director experience of the political, policy, campaigning and media worlds. She has come to Crisis Action from Westminster having worked as the Senior Political Adviser to the Shadow International Development Secretary, Ivan Lewis, and for David Miliband on the General Election and his Labour Party leadership campaign. Prior to that she worked for the communications company Portland PR on a range of clients including the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Tutu Foundation UK and the Africa Progress Panel. Sophie has been involved in a number of campaigns including running the launch of World Vision International's Child Health Now campaign. She holds an MSc with distinction in International Relations, a first class degree in Politics from Bristol University and has produced a paper and toolkit on evidence-based policymaking for the Overseas Development Institute."
