Rupert Myer
Rupert Myer "is the Chairman of The Myer Family Co Pty Ltd and is Vice President of the Myer Foundation. He serves on the Boards of a number of companies, including the publicly listed AMCIL Limited and DUI Limited.
"He also serves as Chairman of Mission Australia's Youth Strategy and Advocacy Group and as a Council Member of The National Gallery of Australia, as a Board Member of The National Gallery of Australia Foundation and as a Board Member of The Felton Bequests' Committee.
"Rupert became a Member of the Order of Australia in January 2005, for service to the arts, to support for museums and galleries, and to the community through a range of philanthropic and service organisations. His previous community activities have been as Chairman of the NGV Foundation, International Social Service and WorkPlacement and as a board member of The Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney and a trustee of The National Gallery of Victoria. He chaired the Commonwealth Government's Inquiry into the Contemporary Visual Arts and Craft Sector.
"Rupert Myer was educated at Melbourne Grammar School. He studied Commerce at Melbourne University, before continuing onto Cambridge University, majoring in social and political sciences." [1]
