Biographical Information

"Roger Harrison was educated at Oxford University and the Harvard Business School with a career as a journalist with The Times newspaper, followed by newspaper and general management. He was Chief Executive of the Observer and a founder director of London Weekend Television and of Capital Radio (deputy chairman) and has been a director and chairman of private and public companies in the UK and the US dealing principally with publishing, property development and investment. He was chairman of several charities including Toynbee Hall, The Royal Academy of Dance and Asylum Aid and is currently a director of Ashoka, Innovators for the Public and of The Oil Depletion Analysis Centre, as well as a senior trustee of a large agricultural estate. He is Vice President of Hampshire Wildlife, a director of the Salmon and Trout Association and closely involved in a wide range of environment issues." [1]
