Proposed Study by Levy

In this 1977 Philip Morris (PM) memo, a company scientist, discusses a proposed research project to determine the addictiveness of nicotine. PM scientist William L. Dunn, Jr. announces that he has given approval for the study to be performed by Carolyn J. Levy, but warns if the results reveal that the results obtained with nicotine "are similar to those gotten with morphine and caffein," then "we will want to bury it."
