Penicillins are a category of antibiotic pharmaceuticals.
Antibiotics are divided into a number of categories:[1]
- Amoxicillin (Brand names: Amoxil, Polymox, Trimox, Wymox)
- Ampicillin (Brand names: Omnipen, Polycillin, Polycillin-N, Principen, Totacillin)
- Bacampicillin (Brand name: Spectrobid)
- Carbenicillin (Brand names: Geocillin, Geopen)
- Cloxacillin (Brand name: Cloxapen)
- Dicloxacillin (Brand names: Dynapen, Dycill, Pathocil)
- Flucloxacillin (Brand names: Flopen, Floxapen, Staphcillin)
- Mezlocillin (Brand name: Mezlin)
- Nafcillin (Brand names: Nafcil, Nallpen, Unipen)
- Oxacillin (Brand names: Bactocill, Prostaphlin)
- Penicillin G (Brand name: Bicillin L-A, Crysticillin 300 A.S., Pentids, Permapen, Pfizerpen, Pfizerpen-AS, Wycillin)
