Mr. Michel Greco "has had a long and successful career in the pharmaceuticals and vaccines industry. From 1988 to 1993, through successive mergers and acquisitions, he had senior management responsibilities at Institut Mérieux, then Pasteur Merieux Connaught. From 1994 to 1998, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Pasteur Mérieux MSD, a European joint venture between Pasteur Merieux and Merck. Since 1998 and until the beginning of 2003, he was President and Chief Operating Officer, then Deputy Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board, of Aventis Pasteur. Mr. Greco was President of the European Vaccine Manufacturers between 1994 and 1998. From 1999 to 2002, he was Chairman of the Biological Committee of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations and a member of the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts, which advises the World Health Organization on immunization policy. He is presently a member of the boards of a number of biotechnology companies and of nonprofit international institutions. He has communicated in various industry manifestations over the years and published several articles on the vaccine industry." [1]
