Biographical Information

Michael is a Co-Founder, Executive Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Africa Conservancy Foundation.

"He is a conservationist with over 30 year successful career in Nature conservation to which he remains actively involved as an independent consultant and serves on the Boards of The Hague based Wildlife Justice commission (WJC), US Based International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and Jane Goodall Institute (JGI),Kenya chapter. He is also a member of the East Africa Wildlife Society.

Michael Wamithi worked for 14 years in the Service, before he took his present position as East Africa regional director for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).
