"Prior to OneWorld, Michael served for five years as Chief Technology Officer with the Benton Foundation where he was responsible for the overall technological strategy for the Foundation and the development of new technology projects, including web-based trust mechanisms, intra/extranets and web communities, knowledge management systems, e-commerce, contingency planning and the production of live web audio and video broadcasts.

"Michael is active in the philanthropic and nonprofit communities, serving on the Steering Committee of the Technology Affinity Group, an association of technology and program officers working in philanthropy, the Communications Committee of the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers and the Program Committee of the 2003 Annual Conference of the Council on Foundations. He is a frequent speaker at non-profit and philanthropic conferences and has served on non-profit boards.
