Michael Fitzpatrick, is an associate of the libertarian LM group. Previously a leading member of the Revolutionary Communist Party, contributing to its review Living Marxism under the name Mike Freeman, Fitzpatrick is a trustee of controversial lobby group Sense about Science and has a column in The Lancet. He has written for Spiked online and attended Institute of Ideas seminars, including its "Genes and Society Festival" sponsored by Pfizer. He was also a member of the the joint Forum of the Social Issues Research Centre, the think tank arm of the public relations firm MCM Research.
Fitzpatrick writes on topics such as "Junk science" [1] and the "precautionary principle" [2]. Fitzpatrick is a doctor, working as a GP in Hackney, London [3].
