Appellants Hugh B. Kaufman and TriStar Television demanded a defamation decision that would award Appellee Merco Joint Venture damages of $1 against each appellant and penalizing damages of $500,000 against Kaufman and $4.5 million against TriStar. Merco failed to confirm actual malice, and therefore the judgment was rendered for Appellants.
