Mavis Matenge

Mavis Matenge "holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Luther College and a Master of Arts in International Policy Studies with certificates in Conflict Resolution and Gender and Development from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She has focused her work on human security, gender-based violence, gender-sensitive policy initiatives, human rights and uprooted populations. Presently Ms. Matenge is serving as a United Nations Volunteer working as a Reproductive Health (RH) and HIV/AIDS Project Officer at the Dukwi Refugee Camp in Botswana. Ms. Matenge has also worked with the Population Reference Bureau, Refugees Studies Centre at the University of Oxford, Human Rights Watch, and Freedom House." [1]
