Matthew B. Connolly

Matthew B. Connolly Jr., President Emeritus, served as President and CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership "from February 2005 to February 2007. His 30-plus year career in the hunting, fishing and conservation policy arena also includes 12 years as the Executive Vice President of Ducks Unlimited (DU). After leaving DU in 1999, Matt consulted for non-profit and for-profit clients in strategic planning, governance, membership marketing, resource management and capital campaign planning...

"Prior to his time at DU as Executive Vice President, Matt served DU in other capacities including Chief Operating Officer of Ducks Unlimited de Mexico and Group Manager of Fund Raising and Communications. He was also Chief Operating Officer of Wetlands America Trust from 1991 to 1999 and Executive Vice President of the North American Wildlife Foundation and Delta Waterfowl from 1985 to 1987.

"Matt started his conservation career in his native Massachusetts working for the state between 1968 and 1979 serving as Director of Fisheries and Wildlife, Director of Coastal Zone Management, Director of Conservation, Assistant Commissioner of Natural Resources, and State Ornithologist. He received the Chief’s Award for Distinguished Conservation Leadership from the U.S. Forest Service in 1999 and the Chevron/Times Mirror National Conservation Award in 1995. Matt and his wife Stephanie have two grown children and three grandchildren. Connolly is an avid angler and hunter and particularly loves fly fishing and wing shooting."
