Mr. Manuel Montes ("Butch") "economist, is Chief of Development Strategy and Policy Analysis in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UDSEA). He leads a team of professionals to analyze and monitor key issues in development strategy and multilateral cooperation in international finance, trade, aid debt and systemic issues. He has previously worked with the UNDP, Ford Foundation, East-West Center, and the University of the Philippines." [1]
