Karlheinz Muhr
Karlheinz Muhr "was co-founder and Chairman of Volaris Advisors prior to its acquisition by Credit Suisse First Boston. He has had extensive experience working with volatility through senior management positions at a number of leading financial institutions. Prior to founding Volaris, Karlheinz was a Managing Director and Head of the Global Executive Group business segment of UBS Warburg for the Americas. Previous to that, he held a variety of senior positions at UBS and its predecessor firms Swiss Bank Corp., SBC Warburg, and Warburg Dillon Read. These positions included Head of Global Credit Fixed Income, Head of Corporate Finance for Americas, Member of the Management Committee for the Americas, and Member of the Board of SBC Warburg and SBC Canada. From 1985 to 1995, he worked in both New York and London for Credit Suisse First Boston, heading up CMO Trading, Mortgage Derivative Trading, European Credit Fixed Income and Global Asset Swaps. He also served as a member of the European Executive Management Committee and the Global Fixed Income Committee. A native of Austria, Karlheinz has a Master's Degree from Vienna's University for Business and Economics (1982) and an MBA from the Anderson School of Business at the University of California at Los Angeles (1985). He serves on one corporate board: Magna International, Toronto and is a member of the following not-forprofit boards: The Institute for International Education (IIE), Washington D.C.; and The Franz Klammer Foundation, Vienna, Austria."
