"Jeffrey is a former Pro-Vice Chancellor of De Montfort University, he was educated at Leicester, Loughborough and Nottingham Universities. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He has been conferred the degrees – honorary Doctor of Science by Kaunas University of Technology and honorary Doctor of Technology from University Politehnica Bucharest.
"He is Vice Chair, and Chair of Audit Committee, of East Midlands Housing Group Ltd based in Coalville, Leicestershire, a substantial housing association with over 17,000 houses.
