Intro
The Institute of World Politics, founded in 1990, describes itself as an "independent graduate school of statecraft and national security affairs."
Quote: "The Institute's superb curriculum and fine faculty create a well-integrated program that produces professionals well-grounded in the real world." - R. James Woolsey, Jr., Former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
"IWP's mission includes educating current and aspiring foreign affairs professionals in the art of statecraft by offering a unique multi-disciplinary program. The Institute currently offers two M.A. degrees (M.A. in Statecraft and National Security Affairs and M.A. in Statecraft and World Politics), Certificates of Graduate Study, and individual courses.
"The Institute distinguishes itself from other professional schools by having a faculty composed almost entirely of scholar-practitioners with high-level government experience in defense of the United States."[1]
