HeiQ Materials AG is a Swiss company. HeiQ makes a product called HeiQ AGS-20, an antimicrobial nanosilver treatment for textiles. Nanosilver is a controversial material as it is antimicrobial but also may harm the environment and human health. HeiQ AGS-20 received conditional registration as a pesticide from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2012. HeiQ joined with Huntsman Textile Effects to brand its nanosilver treatment as "Pure."[1] Pure is used on Mammut's Alpine Underwear collection,[2] Nylstar's Nylcare fiber,[3] TWE's Qualitex wipes,[4] and Radici Group's fibers Nanofeel and Cornleaf.[5]
