Thanks to this hobby, he has developed an interest in Oriental religious and philosophical thought and holistic approaches in Western psychology.

"In the early 1990s, he turned to rebirthing. He studied and worked at the Association of Free Breathing, and completed a certification program in Holotropic Breathwork under the guidance of V.Maikov at the Psychotherapy Training Center (1994).

In 2000, he received his Master’s degree in Practical Psychology at the International Academy of Psychological Sciences (Yaroslavl – St. Petersburg) (supervisor: Professor Kozlov).

"His graduate thesis was titled “Holotropic Breathwork as a basic method for correcting the personality of an opium addict.”

"At the same time, he studied in the postgraduate program at the Philosophy Department of the Moscow State University where he defended his dissertation titled “The aesthetic features of experiences in the changed conditions of consciousness.” In his work, he introduced and justified the term “transpersonal aesthetics”, and thus became a pioneer in this field of knowledge."
