George Russell

George Russell is the Chair of Mission Scotland.

After a long career in the meat industry, George founded UK meat supplier Euroscot Meat (Exports) Ltd and succeeded in turning the company into a £33m business before selling it on to run his own Management Marketing Consultancy in 1986. He is former Chairman of Scotland the Brand, initially co-run by Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish business community to promote Scottish quality products and services at home and abroad.

Within the church scene , George has applied his business skills to the benefit of Christian organisations over a considerable period of time. Besides his involvement with Mission Scotland, he is Chair of the Aitchison Charitable Trust, the Gartmore Activity and Conference Centre, and Milngavie Churches at One. He is also a past Chairman of the UK-based charity CARE.
