Frank McKenna is the former Liberal Premier of the Canadian province of New Brunswick.
He was Chairman of the Board of CanWest Global, a media consoritum which owns Global TV (Canada) and the Toronto-based National Post (Canada), the major competitor to the Globe & Mail (Canada). That newspaper was purchased from Conrad Black.
Mr. McKenna was appointed as Canada's Ambassador to the United States in 2005, and assumed his duties in Washington on March 8, 2005.
