Final solution

The term final solution was used by the Nazi government of Adolf Hitler as a euphemism for its policy of genocide against Jews. It is a good example of the use of language to reframe reality. Instead of treating Jews as "people," the Nazis defined them as a "problem." The phrase "final solution" made it possible to discuss killing them without explicitly discussing the ugly brutality of mass murder.
