District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) provides water and wastewater (sewer) service to the District of Columbia and provides wastewater treatment service to Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland and Fairfax and Loudoun counties in Virginia. It operates Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, the largest advanced wastewater treatment facility in the world.[1]
