Daxa Patel
"Daxa came to Leicester as a child in 1966, and has lived and worked in the city for most of her life. Since 2005 Daxa has held significant positions as a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Eastern Leicester Primary Care Trust and NHS Leicester City and was Chair of NHS Leicester City. She joined the CCG in 2012.
"She is currently a freelance consultant working on national and international projects related to technology, education and organisational change management. She has co-authored several books on these topics. Previously she was a Principal Lecturer in Mathematics at De Montfort University and she also worked in several senior management posts in higher education, locally and nationally. Prior to that she worked in local government and the nuclear industry as an operational research analyst.
"Over the last 30 years she has worked on the management committees of several voluntary organisations working with socially excluded groups, in particular Belgrave Baheno Women's Organisation which conceived and built the Peepul Centre. She was a founding Director and Trustee of the Belgrave Baheno Peepul Centre." [1]
