Biographical Information
"Mr. Opperman is Regional Director for Africa of the Conservation Council of Nations and field representative of the International Conservation Caucus Foundation and Oceans Caucus Foundation. Mr. Opperman, a lawyer, diplomat and businessman, has long been an active conservation volunteer. He is a director of Seacom Tanzania and is Deputy Chairman of the Oil and Gas Association of Tanzania. Mr. Opperman was Tanzania country director for Ras Al Khaimah Gas, East African Representative for Sithe Global, consultant to the Scowcroft Group, consultant to AT Kearney; founder and managing director of Medical Express (Med-X) Tanzania, and has acted as advisor to the Tanzanian Minister of Finance and Minister of Infrastructure Development."
