Biographical Information
"CHARLES SECRETT is an Advisor on Climate, Environment and Sustainability and an Associate Faculty member of the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry. Between 2004-8, he was a Special Advisor for The Mayor of London and was a Board Member of the London Development Agency, and Chair of its Health and Sustainability Advisory Group. Charles has also worked for Triodos Bank, the UK Government’s Roundtable (and Commission) on Sustainable Development. He was director of Friends of the Earth between 1993 and 2003."[1] He is the former Executive Director of the environmental organization Friends of the Earth. In 1985, following extensive research on tropical deforestation, he launched Friends of the Earth's International Rainforest Campaign, the first in the world to investigate and campaign against the range of economic, social and political causes of tropical forest clearance.
