Brian Vogt

Brian Vogt is a Senior Advisor to the Partnership for a Secure America.

"In 2004 Brian co-founded a political advocacy organization, Win Back Respect, that promoted an American foreign policy that engages America’s friends and allies. During the 2004 presidential campaign Win Back Respect produced television advertisements that aired in every battleground state featuring military families whose loved ones were serving in Iraq. Win Back Respect also organized a series of town hall events led by General Wesley Clark. In 2003/04 he also worked as a field organizer with the Howard Dean presidential campaign in Iowa and Michigan.

"He has worked for four years with the international nonprofit organization Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, which invests in social entrepreneurs in developing countries. Brian worked with Ashoka’s Asia program and led the organization’s monitoring and evaluation program. He has done field research on post conflict reconstruction in Sierra Leone, worked in the microfinance field in Bangalore, India, and served as an international election observer with the Carter Center in Indonesia, Ethiopia, and the DRC. He has taught English in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and has twice cycled across the U.S. to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity. He has a Masters in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University and a BA in Political Science from Yale University."
