The Tasman Institute is a now defunct free-market think tank which was created in 1990 by Michael G. Porter, after his previous think tank, the Centre of Policy Studies, which had been based at Monash University, lost its funding. It later merged with ACIL Consulting to form ACIL Tasman [1]
