Zhanbolat Ussenov

Biography

2Zhanbolat Ussenov received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Moscow State University of International Relations in 2004. Zhanbolat started his professional career with KazMunayGas, Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company.

"Since 2006, he has held a number of positions of growing responsibility in Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, including consecutive tenures with Embassies in the United Kingdom and the United States. In 2012-2014, he served as Foreign Ministry’s official spokesperson.

"Currently, Zhanbolat is employed by Chevron’s Eurasia Business Unit headquartered in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He was appointed Director of the Eurasian Council on Foreign Affairs in February, 2015."
