World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) is an annual event created and promoted by the World Health Organization to promote policies to reduce tobacco use on a global scale. The event falls on May 31 of every year. Each year, WNTD to focus on one particular policy aimed at reducing tobacco use. In May 2009, the event promoted the use of graphic, pictorial health warning labels on tobacco packs to inform smokers about the dangers inherent in tobacco use. [1]
