Woodrow W. Clark
Dr. Clark "founded Clark Strategic Partners (CSP) in 2004, whose major clients include: Energy Director (whose goal is to make the nine campuses energy independent and carbon neutral) for the LA Community College District; Energy Technology Advisor for Paramount Pictures; Senior Foreign Energy Advisor (Asian Development Bank) Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (IMAR), Peoples Republic of China; and Senior Fellow, Milken Institute. He also sits on the boards for non-profit and for-profit organizations.
"Dr. Clark earned three separate masters degrees from different universities and his Ph.D. at University of California, Berkeley. He was Senior Advisor on Renewable Energy, Emerging Technologies, and Finance to California Governor Gray Davis from 2000 to 2003. In 2007, Clark was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize due to his co-authorship and co-editorship for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) from 1995-2000 in which he is still active today.
"From 2007-08, he was Lecturer at University of California (UCR) Riverside and Los Angeles (UCLA) in Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship. Clark has taught at Aalborg University, Denmark and lectures internationally in the USA, EU, Japan and China. He was Manager of Strategic Planning for Technology Transfer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (University of California and US Dept of Energy) during the 1990s.
"Clark co-authored “Agile Energy Systems: global lessons from the California energy crisis” (2004). His most recent book is “Qualitative Economics: toward a science of economics” (2008). Clark’s next book is “Sustainable Communities” (due in Spring 09 from Springer Press). Later in 2009, Clark plans to release: “Sustainable Development Tools and Mechanisms” (Elsevier Press). He has over 40 peer reviewed journal articles and numerous mass media credits including articles, papers documentary video and film on topical issues." [1]
