Winthrop D. Carty
Winthrop D. Carty "is the founding editor for case narratives of Innovations. Carty is also Executive Director of the Melton Foundation which aims to address global challenges through the sponsorship of an international network of fellows who engage in inter-cultural educational and leadership development activities. Previously he was Associate Director of the Ash Institute of Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. There he led the effort to build a research and teaching network to promote government innovation worldwide under sponsorship of the Ford Foundation. Carty has researched and published extensively on the roles of innovation, technology, and higher education in international development. Also while at Harvard, from 1998 to 2002, he designed and co-taught seminars on "The Strategic Use of Technology" to academic, NGO, and government leaders throughout Latin America. He holds an Ed. M. from Harvard University and a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University." [1]
