Willis Stephens is a Republican New York State Assemblyman who came to brief national attention when he was forced to apologise for referring to his constituents as "idiots" in an e-mail message.
The e-mail message - "Just watching the idiots pontificate" appeared in an online discussion group that focuses on issues in Putnam County. [1]
