"Mr. Harman is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Michigan Law School. He began his career in the practice of law in New York and in 1972, he joined Morgan Stanley serving as Secretary and General Counsel until 1984.
"He subsequently organized the firm´s Government Relations and became Managing Director in 1994. In 1998, he became an independent consultant in the financial services sector.
"He serves on the boards of the U.S.-Spain Council, the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, Business Council for International Understanding, the American Council on Germany and the Foundation for the National Archives.
"He is a Trustee of The Institute of Genomic Research, in Rockville, Maryland. He is married with two children and lives in New York City." [1]
