The Water Industry Council (WIC) was "a major lobby group for the U.S. water industry." In 2003, Corporate Europe Observatory noted that WIC and the International Private Water Association were struggling with a "backlash against water privatisation." [1]

WIC's registration as a non-profit association in Washington, DC was filed on July 30, 1996, and has since been revoked. The registration lists Prentice Hall Corporation System as WIC's "registered agent." [2]
