Walter Adams, Ph.D. (Economist, Michigan State University): Walter Adams is a nationally known economist and regular consultant to the federal government. Dr. Adams first joined the Michigan State University in 1947 as Assistant Professor of Economics after receiving a Ph.D. degree from Yale University. He was promoted to professor in 1956. Dr. Walter Adams ended his term as Michigan State University's 13th President, returned to the faculty as a distinguished university professor and professor of economics on January 2, 1970.
