Biographical Information

"“H” Clark is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nalco Chemical, a NYSE-listed global corporation. He subsequently served as Chairman of the Board of Millennium Chemicals, Inc., another NYSE-listed global corporation. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Lyondell Chemical Company (LYO – NYSE), a Fortune 500 company. He was Chairman of the Chemical Manufacturers Association of OCITA (Office of Chemical Industry Trade Advisor). Mr. Clark has served on the boards of Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Chicago Northwestern Railroad, Fort James Corporation, Georgia-Pacific Corporation, Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., Millennium Chemicals, Inc., Nalco Chemical Company, Nicor Inc. & Northern Illinois Gas, Northern Trust Company, Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corp., USG Corp. and U.S. Gypsum Corp., Valero Energy Corporation. Formerly he was Chairman of the Society of the Chemical Industry, and a member of the Governing Board of the Illinois Council on Economic Education, the Illinois Economic Development Board, the Business Roundtable, and The Conference Board. He is a Life Trustee of the Field Museum of Natural History, a Life Trustee and a member of the Board of Advisors of the Brookfield Zoo, and a Life Member of the Northwestern University Advisory Board of Kellogg Business School.

"He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, and he is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Program. His honors include Honorary Doctor of Business Administration, North Central College, Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award from North Carolina State University, SCI Chemical Industry Gold Medal, and American Institute of Chemists Award.
