Biographical Information

"As Chief Operating Officer of Endemol Group, Virginie Calmels is responsible for overseeing Endemol’s operations in the European markets (12 territories, including France) as well as further enhancing the Group’s efficiency.Calmels previously held the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EndemolFrancesince October 2007 and continues to have responsibility for the French business as its Chairman.

"She has been Vice President of the Syndicat des producteurs et créateurs d’émissions de télévision (Independent Producers’ Union) since its inception in 2004, Vice President of the Centre d’étude et de prospective stratégique since July 2009 and Director of Iliad (Free) since June 2009. Since March 2011 she has also been a Member of the Supervisory Board of Euro Disney and Euro Disney Associés S.C.A.

"She began her career in 1993 as a Finance Auditor within Salustro Reydel and grew her role to become Senior Account Manager. She then joined NC Numéricable (Canal+ Group) as Chief Financial Officer from 1998 to 1999. From 1999 to 2000, she was Financial and Administrative Director within Sky Gate B.V. in the Netherlands. From 2000 to 2003, she returned to the Canal+ Group where she held various positions including Chief Financial Officer for International and Development as well as Chief Financial Officer of Canal+ SA, before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer and then Co-General Manager of the French Canal+ channel.

"She went on to become General Manager of Endemol France from 2003 to 2007 until her appointment as Chairman and CEO. Calmels was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Endemol Group in May 2012. "
