Contracts
- January 3, 2006, VSE announced a contract awarded by the US Army to provide maintenance and logistics services in Iraq and Afghanistan. VSE will subcontract out substantially all the services to ManTech International Corporation while providing certain program management services. The contract is worth a base year value of $139 million with an additional one year option worth $212 million. [2]
- September 23, 2005, VSE was awarded a $41 jmillion contract under the Tanker Ballistic Protection System Program. [3]
- September 16, 2005, VSE's totally owned subsidiary, Energetics Incorporated, reported the awarding of two contracts; one a two-year, $4.9 million contract to provide technical, management, and program support to the Department of Homeland Security, Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection Directorate, Infrastructure Coordination Division, and the other, a five-year $4.5 million contract to support the National Institute of Standards and Technology with strategic planning and program management services. - April 25, 2005, VSE was awarded "a $544 million contract in support of U.S. Navy ships that are bought, sold, or transferred through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program to FMS customers. The new single-award contract, with a one-year base period and four one-year options, replaces a 10-year contract awarded to VSE in 1995. In the past decade VSE has transferred 30 ships to foreign governments and is now reactivating four ex-Kidd class guided-missile destroyers for transfer to Taiwan." [5]
- April 7, 2004, VSE's Fleet Maintenance Division was awarded a contract by the US Naval Surface Warfare Center which "is a multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract" and "accordingly, actual VSE revenue estimates for the contract cannot be predicted." This will allow VSE as one of 150 othger contractors to bid annually on $1.3 billion of work. [6]
