The old saying is that it is hard to remember that your objective is to drain the swamp when you're up to your armpits in alligators. On a similar note, its very hard at time to remember that the environmental community is not our enemies just because they are the ones always suing us. Sometimes, using techniques and even a little propaganda that is excessive. However, may I never forget that people believe that they are attempting to save the world for the seventh generation, as we should always consider what our actions mean to those that have yet been born.
Conversely, if anyone ever thinks that I'm spinning anything too pro-industry I'll always be open to comments. I'll always try to be free of bias, but sometimes I do get irked by a bunch of smug alligators.
BTW, now that I think about it that whole alligator/swamp thing is a terrible analogy. I love reptiles and ambiphians, (card carrying member of Kentucky frog loggers) and hate for them to have a loss of habitat, and wetland (formerly know as swamps) play such a critical role in the lives of so many species, and water quality. I'll have to think on what analogy I'll use to replace that swamp/gator thing.
